Vera Has Arrived!!!

Well we have finally gotten some time to upload pictures of Vera from the time of birth. These pictures below were taken on November 24, 2010, Vera's birthday:

New father holding his brand new bundle of joy! Gosh looking back at these pictures it is amazing how much Vera has grown just within the last month! I could almost hold all of her in one hand. Now she stretches across my entire arm.

So as many of you already know, and for those of you who don't, Lacey is pregnant again. Thank God this time we are having some success. Lacey is due around the 3rd week of November. Below are pictures of our adventure thus far:

So we went to visit with a company on Monday, August 23rd to have 3D images and 4D video done on the baby. At this point Lacey has just begun her 27th week of pregnancy. Below are some of the still frame pictures of the images. I will admit, it is kind of creepy and weird to see some of these images but it was still worth it. I guess the creepy thing about it is that the baby is still in the womb and growing and you are seeing images of a human figure moving around inside the belly. With that said....

The way the sonar picks up shapes depends on the depth of the waves and the object so they sometimes "cut" through other objects. In this case, you see a portion of an arm in front of the face because the sound waves are bouncing off the head and portions of the arm. You can see her popping out a smile behind her arm. Make sense?

Here she is with a hand protruding out towards the wand.

Now this one kind of creeps me out but it is still cool to see her opening her eyes. She blinked a lot and yawned. In one of the videos we saw her sucking on her middle and ring fingers.

Here is a hand and a foot together. She is very flexible.

More sleeping with a hand and arm in front of her face. She sheltered her face most of the time with her arms and hands. She is probably tired of mom and dad poking at her all the time to get her to move around.

(Above) This is Lacey at 21 weeks, a little more than half way through.

As of (6/25/2010) she is 18 weeks and 4 days along in the pregnancy. We went to the doctor today for our detailed ultrasound to check on the development of the baby. I am glad to inform everyone that all parts are accounted for and development is going perfect according to schedule!

These first 8 images were all taken on 6/25/2010 for our 18 week, 4 day appointment. I will try and describe what is being viewed in these pictures. Above you can see the profile of the baby's face with an arm and hand in front of it bent like she's lounging. Above the head is a leg. She's curled up in a ball.

From this view I am pretty sure all you are seeing is the bottom pad of her foot. The stuff around it is flesh and non-baby stuff.

At this angle we are looking directly up from below the baby. The two long white lines are legs (femur) at the top and bottom and in between where it's cirlced in the picture is the girly part. Yes it all looks weird to me too but the technician was very confident in his descriptions and declaration of the sex of the child.

This picture you can see the baby's face looking towards us. There are arms on both sides of the head, a nose in the middle (strong curved white lines), eye sockets and mouth. Pretty cool aye?!? We got to see her yawn too.

Here is a close up of the above picture. The dark circle you see in her chest is her stomach. It's black because it's full of amniotic fluid - the same gew she's swimminging in right now.

Again, another view of the baby's face and body. She was very active, kicking and rolling all over the place. Typical daughter.....already giving mom flak.

Here again is a profile of the baby. You can see the head, eyelid, nose, mouth and an arm and hand bent in front of the head.

This is one of our progress pictures of Lacey's belly. Not too much showing yet but definitely starting to show. This picture was taken somewhere between week 17.5 and 18.

This was the ultrasound taken around 12.5 weeks. As you can see, the baby's head is towards the right of the uterus. She obviously has rotated around because the new pictures show her head towards the left. But in this you can see the head, body and if you look hard enough, some legs.

This picture was taken at about 8.5 weeks. It looks like a peanut floating in a hole. It is amazing to watch this thing grow and form into a little human!

These are pictures of Lacey at about 9 weeks. I can't remember since it was so long ago. Also most know, this pregnancy did not make it. But at least we have a second chance and it is doing awesome!
